After spending time in the RAF and training as a pilot, Mike started working for Donald Healey. Thru the years Mike advanced his career thru the British Motor Corporation, later advancing to VP sales and marketing at MG, then held similar positions at Jaguar® and British Leyland. In 1984 became SVP for Sales, marketing, service and parts at Jaguar® Cars inc. and in 1992 rose to the position of President of Jaguar® Cars North America, until his retirement.

Educated Kings Norton Grammar school

1952 -55 RAF training as pilot.

1956 – 57 Donald Healey Motor Co. Gofer, lousy mechanic, budding salesman and Service Managers assistant. Warwick

1958 – 60 Salesman Nuffield Exports in Piccadilly London.

1961 Salesman for Nuffield Exports on the US bases in the UK.

1962 Seconded to Gailey and Roberts Dar es Salaam. Tanganyika now Tanzania.

1963 – 65 Factory Representative for British Motor Corporation in Caribbean, and South and Central America.

Odd things I’ve done.

1973 National Class Champion Sports Car Club of America.

Rebuilt a Stearman, a Percival Provost and currently building a Nieuport 28 from scratch.

Served on the boards of the Experimental Aircraft Assocn., the Royal Air Force Museum, the National Warplane Museum, Career Partners and Culpeper Airport.

Co founded and operated E Squared, a high school business-training program.

Appointed CBE in 2001.
