Where/how did your passion and interest in the automotive industry get
started?
My passion for the automotive industry started at an early age. Growing up my
grandfather was into cars and owned a 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, he was the
one that introduced me to the world of cars and helped to grow my interest in them.
What are your career goals after Penn College?
My goal after I graduate from Penn College is to work in the industry as a career. I
am currently studying for my bachelor’s degree in automotive business
management alongside my studies in the restoration program. Because of this I am
not sure whether I will end up working in the management side of the industry or
remain working as a restoration technician, but I am excited to see where the next
couple of years take me.
What is your favorite classic car?
That is a difficult question because there are so many cars that I enjoy. But I think I
would have to say that my favorite is the early third generation Corvettes like the one
my grandfather had because it was that car that sparked my interest in cars and sent
me down the path that has led me to this point in my life.
What is your favorite aspect of restoration?
My favorite aspect of restoration is that I get to work on cars that many people
only get to see in museums or in movies and video games. It is not lost on me that
getting to go to class every day and work on vehicles such as a 1935 Rolls Royce
20/25 is not something that most college students get to do and is something that I
do not take for granted.
If I could drive any automobile for an hour, what would it be?
I am a fan of formula one racing so I think that my choice would be Jean Alesi’s
1995 Ferrari 412 T2 formula one car. In my opinion it is one of the best-looking
formula one cars of all time and there are very few things that sound as amazing as
a Ferrari V12.
