The Hugh Thomson car is a bit different. I happened to notice an ad in the Carolina Jaguar Club for an excellent XJ6/3 “free to a good home”. I called Hugh and discussed a donation. He had a previous “offer” and felt he had to wait till that was either confirmed or denied. I was surprised he soon wrote back we could have the car and sent pictures. I saw it was another S3 car but in excellent condition. Hugh said the car had been freshly painted and a new interior had been installed. Arrangements were made to collect the car and have it transported to Columbia where it awaits disposition. Although the title of the car states in excess of 200k miles it has an almost perfect presentation.
As said prior the Settanni car could easily win a JCNA preservation award and the Thomson car a driven division award. Story by George Camp.
