Now in its fourth year, the Coventry Foundation currently occupies part of a British Sports Car Museum in Petersburg, Virginia and has a Library, in Columbia, South Carolina  with an annex for tools, automotive “parts,” and other memorabilia, currently including a low mileage XJ-S.

Saturday, August 18 marked the first time Coventry Foundation Board members as well as representatives from JCNA affiliated clubs were invited to meet and view the facilities in Columbia. Patrons came from as far away as New Hampshire and Sanibel Island, Florida.

The assembled group was given an orientation by Gary Kincel and George Camp, followed by an afternoon of casual browsing through both the library and the annex. Both areas are attractive and very well organized.  The collection of literature, artwork, and memorabilia is incredible. Some artifacts are virtually priceless and the tool collection is probably the most complete in the world.

The Coventry Foundation has become the nation’s reservoir of tools and information for the serious Jaguar aficionado. It will only get better.

Everyone at this retreat was impressed with he facilities, the materials, and the organization, which clearly exceeded everyone’s expectations. This remains a work in progress. Donations continue, our Patron list is growing, and our facilities are already bursting. Much has been accomplished but continued growth is essential.
